and a noted Presidential Leadership Speaker, is an authority on the president’s Cabinet, and
organizational decision structures for presidential policy making.

 Dr. Shirley Anne Warshaw will offer many bold assertions and provide the solid scholarship to back them up when she visits Vero Beach. Her presentations will demonstrate her knowledge of presidential decision-making, White House organization, and White House-Cabinet relations as she does in the eight books she has written on presidential power in its various manifestations.
Some of her knowledge comes from the “inside”. She has been a consultant to the White House under three administrations, a consultant to the Public Broadcasting System and was also involved in presidential debates.
In addition to her federal duties and Gettysburg College, Professor Warshaw worked in Pennsylvania state government and served in the Governor’s Office under two governors.
Warshaw’s books include Powersharing: White House-Cabinet Relations
in the Modern Presidency, The Eisenhower Legacy: Re-examining the
Eisenhower Presidency, and The Domestic Presidency. Her most recent book is
The Co-Presidency of Bush and Cheney in which she demonstrates that these complementary conservatives were nothing less than co-presidents.
Warshaw has also served on the National Advisory Council for the
Center for the Study of the Presidency and is a frequent speaker on
National Public Radio. She has worked with the BBC, CNN, CBS News,
 National
Journal, Congressional Quarterly, numerous newspapers (particularly
USA Today, New York Times, Washington Post), and a host of others for
commentary on issues surrounding presidential leadership. She earned
her Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University, a Master’s degree from the
Wharton School of Finance and Commerce, and a B.A. from the University
of Pennsylvania. She’s married and has three children.Details:
